The Evolution of imaging using the SV305C planetary camera.  3 months later of Imaging: I have now used the Svbony SV305C planetary camera now.  I have spent quite of time deep sky and planetary imaging with the versatile little camera.  Great for deep sky and great for planetary actually.  I have found that with planetary imaging with the 102mm Mak which has a native  focal length of 1325mm using a 3X barlow seems to produce great planetary images with lots of detail and great color with this camera.  Deep sky is more flexible but I found using around 70 percent gain (350 gain) on this camera with short exposures seems to creat optimal captures of small DSO targets with my little wide field 80mm Orion short tube refractor at 350mm focal length.  And yes the noise floor is so low I almost do not even need to use dark frames for either anymore! My old T7C astrocam was so noisy in comparison and dark frames was a must! So lets explore my latest planetary...
